Explosions And 18 Hours On The Road
Polestar asked us to film a missing section for the 10 year running project printdynamics – the process of coating paper is a massive connection between paper, ink and print.
We drove down from Hull to Cornwall (Saint Austell), jumped in to a “landy” and started filming in a huge pit called “Little Johns” after pouring 10 tons of liquid explosives and standing a fair way back – we watch (and filmed) as the side of a mountain came crashing down...following the process that Imerys has developed to extract the clay from the local rock, this is then refined down, tested and pack on to some large container ships and is ship across the world for production.
